Role Description and Objectives


Responsible for Oracle Business Intelligence implementation (OBIEE 12c), Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, APEX, JAVA, Web Services/JSON and HTML/Javascript, configuration, support, and performance tuning as well as for the design, development, administration and optimization to meet client business and technical requirements. Support team and company business processes requirements.



Key Responsibilities


  • Responsible for the design and development of a scalable business intelligence solutions, mainly on Oracle Business Iintelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE 12c)
  • Develop SQL statements and Oracle PL/SQL stored procedures, database packages and triggers
  • Develop Oracle APEX screens and support backend configuration systems.
  • Develop Oracle APEX Web Service and Oracle Restful Data Services (ORDS).
  • Develop RPD models on OBIEE using a dimensional approach with appropriate layers of base facts, dimension, snapshots and aggregates
  • Develop and maintain API integrations based in Java
  • Understand Dimensional Models to Support BI implementation
  • Participate in the development of technical design documentation for various stages of the BI implementation
  • Create Dashboards/Reports on OBIEE environment based on business requirements
  • Install, upgrade, patching Oracle BI EE 12.x.
  • Install, upgrade, patching Oracle APEX 5.x
  • Install, configure, and support Weblogic 11g on Linux and Windows
  • Understand and analyze BI Analytics requirement documents




  • 4+ years’ experience with OBIEE
  • 4+ years’ experience with data warehousing
  • 4+ years in developing ELT/ETL routines
  • 2+ years in developing APEX screens
  • Experience in data cleansing and data profiling
  • Experience in working directly with technical and business personnel
  • Knowledge of Kimball methodology and dimensional modeling
  • 3+ years’ experience with Weblogic
  • 5+ years’ experience with SQL Oracle PL/SQL
  • 4+ years’ experience with Linux and Windows systems
