Underpinning its work is its large store of data, on which it performs in-depth analysis to draw out insights. These inform decision-makers across the healthcare community and in the United States’ federal (national) and state (local) governments.

A successful migration to Oracle Engineered Systems

Cintra’s team set out a plan for the migration, using its tried-and-trusted low-risk approach where every part of the project follows a previously proven ‘blueprint’. The first step was a test migration, followed by thorough checks to ensure the new platform was performing as expected and the accuracy of the data was maintained.

This paved the way for the full migration, for which HANYS had set a short, seven-day downtime window to minimize the impact on its operations and revenue. Following the agreed process, Cintra completed the migration and testing in under three days, enabling HANYS’ staff to use the new system well ahead of schedule.

  • 2 ODA clusters
  • 2 ZFS Storage Appliances
  • 12TB database (and growing)
  • 3 days for full migration
  • 75% of HANYS’ activities underpinned by the data on systems Cintra manages

“Cintra helped us establish what to do, build out the plan and worked directly with our technical team to deliver what we needed. The process was extremely successful, very fast, completely painless and low-cost. An amazing situation.”

Kristine Cottom, Vice President & Chief Information Officer, HANYS
