How easy is it for Oracle end-users to become under-licensed? Very…
In just nine minutes, we’ll explain how easy it is for Oracle Technology users to become under-licensed – often inadvertently. One of the first questions customers ask themselves when they receive an Oracle audit notification, is what terms they have signed up to. And that’s often where the challenges begin.
Unlike some tech vendors, Oracle doesn’t require a license key to access its technology. You simply ‘tick’ that you agree to the Ts&Cs. It’s that easy – and that’s why organizations can quickly and inadvertently become under-licensed.
Cintra recommends undertaking an annual independent Oracle software audit identifying:
- What you’ve signed up to
- What you’re using
- Analysis of license held against usage
- Recommended actions How long you’ve been using it for
- How long you’ve been under-licensed (if applicable)
Customers who do not carry out a regular audit of their usage of Oracle Programs, are putting themselves at risk of falling into a non-compliant position.
