The solution

As the established Oracle partner, Cintra advised Orlin & Cohen to adopt a new highly available database architecture based on an Oracle Engineered Systems strategy with the Oracle Database Appliance at the heart of the new design.

The project began with Cintra providing a detailed architecture design and configuration blueprint for the deployment of Oracle RAC-1-Node across two Oracle Database Appliances. Providing a production and DR site solution.

Cintra’s blueprinted implementation provided a low risk deployment in a rapid time-frame based on proven best practices for the Oracle Database Appliances. The architecture included Oracle Enterprise Manager 12c Grid Control for proactive monitoring and the Advanced Security option to secure sensitive data.

Key differentiators

  • Cintra’s database architecture roadmap provided a clear plan with a complete view of benefits and costs
  • Cintra’s blueprinted delivery ensured a low risk minimal downtime migration
  • Cintra’s balance of benefits, cost and simplicity provided Orlin & Cohen with a platform that could support the business while managing complexity and cost

“Cintra has delivered robust database support for us since 2008, the architecture guidance that goes along with the support services has provided us with a clear path to a reliable and high performance database platform to support our Medical Record application.”
