The challenge

Town Sports International were faced with an Oracle E-Business Suite v12 application and database architecture upgrade, in order to achieve a high level of redundancy and performance without the typical lengthy deployment timeline and complexity associated with a clustered application and database architecture to support the EBS suite of applications, the EBS modules included Financials, i-Procurement, Inventory, Warehouse and Discoverer Reporting.

Traditional architecture options required a complex and lengthy integration project to integrate servers, networks and storage from multiple vendors, as well as a significant investment in infrastructure and data center space. This technical integration challenge presented a costly option with a less than assured outcome given the project’s time constraints.

Key differentiators

  • Cintra’s database architecture roadmap provided a clear plan with a complete view of benefits and costs
  • Cintra’s blueprinted delivery ensured a low risk deployment within aggressive timescales
  • Cintra’s balance of benefits, cost and simplicity provided Town Sports International with a platform that could support the business while managing complexity and cost

“As our chosen Oracle Technology Partner, Cintra delivered on the promise of a project conducted with a high degree of due diligence and technical excellence, providing TSI with a high performance, highly available, database architecture with minimal Oracle licensing costs in rapid time.  I will be retaining Cintra as my preferred partner for Oracle Engineered Systems.”
