Cintra establishes User Experience practice with the appointment of Oracle performance specialist Cary Millsap.

Cintra, the global Oracle Enterprise Architecture solutions delivery and managed services provider, has appointed award-winning performance and user experience specialist Cary Millsap as Vice President of User Experience Solutions.

Millsap will lead Cintra’s User Experience Center of Excellence, focused on delivering Oracle systems user experience optimization services for customers with on premise and cloud based environments.

Strengthening Cintra’s digital transformation solutions and services
Millsap brings his proven performance measurement method and tools into Cintra’s architecture-led digital transformation offerings for on-premise and cloud based platforms.

Leading innovator and award-winning author
Millsap has been part of the Oracle community since 1989, and is widely recognized as a leading educator, entrepreneur, consultant, and author. He is also joined at Cintra by his performance specialist colleague, Jeff Holt.

Millsap and Holt wrote the O’Reilly book Optimizing Oracle Performance, for which they were awarded Oracle Magazine’s authors of the year, and Millsap is the author of the follow-up The Method R Guide to Mastering Oracle Trace Data, 2nd edition.

Delivering great user experiences in the cloud
Millsap commented: “Our method and tools have always been about providing the best performance information possible to inform the decision-making process. This focus has never been more important than in today’s transition to the cloud. Reassigning responsibilities of tending to CPU, memory, storage, and networks is a huge benefit, but a business needs to keep a tight control over the experiences its users feel when they’re using the system.

“I’m excited about our fit within the Cintra modernization and transformation vision. Together, we are going to help people prevent the performance problems that have afflicted so many in the past, and we’re going to revolutionize the performance diagnostic process for public, private, and hybrid cloud architectures.”

Cintra’s CTO, Abdul Sheikh, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Cary Millsap and Jeff Holt to the Cintra family, to strengthen and broaden our architecture-led, cloud-driven digital transformation services.

“Great user experiences are what set market-leaders apart from their competition. Cary and Jeff’s experience combined with Cintra’s optimized architecture solutions and managed services expertise enables us to offer our customers world class services and solutions for the delivery of the best possible user experiences and overall business value.
